2016 Important Changes to the Premier Agency Business Awards (PABAs) – CPIEA Management Team, July, 2016

TORONTO, ON., July 30, 2016 – Over the last five years, the prestigious Premier Agency Business Awards (PABAs) have recognized and celebrated educational agencies worldwide whose business practices uphold the highest standards in the areas of ethics, integrity, strategy, innovation and leadership. The PABAs have recognized 58 nominees and have transformed the lives of 30 winners in four categories from more than 20 countries.

After the tremendous success of the PABAs, and due to the need to recognize other national and international stake holders in the international education industry, it was decided that a change to the name and objectives was vital. Therefore, today you are witness to the birth of a new revolution, the birth of the Canadian Premier International Education Awards (CPIEAs).

The CPIEA’s now award the following categories:

1.Associations that represent both schools and agents for a commitment to their members and a collective responsibility towards the international students they serve.
2.Businesses who invest in human development, market intelligence, and who ease the transition and travel experiences of international students by providing innovative products with excellent customer service.
3.Government leaders who support the educational sector through their innovative initiatives, ethics, and a vision towards extending a helping hand to the world.
4.School leaders who successfully create an environment that positively impacts their international students’ lives.
5.Recruiters who uphold the highest standards of excellence as decided by an expert volunteer judging panel.
6.Students who are the reason for the CPIEAs. The CPIEAs find students with difficult life circumstances who would greatly benefit from an educational training scholarship in Canada, and provide it for them. These scholarships are generously sponsored by a Canadian educational provider and positively change the future of the selected students, their families and their communities.

Recipients in each of these categories are awarded a CPIEA according to their active participation and strategic initiatives in the local and global education industries.

The CPIEA will be revealing the 2016 recipients in the upcoming weeks. We hope you join us in celebrating the award winners at the CPIEA Gala on the evening of September 22, 2016 at the Shaw Centre, Ottawa, Ontario.
